I live in a colder weather conditions, & the winters here can be exceptionally cold.
I consistently thought that my furnace was enough to sufficiently heat my apartment in the colder months, & I figured that my heating bill being so high in those months was normal for my area. That was, however, until I had my Heating & Air Conditioning company come & inspect my plan for winter. He told me that something I could do to increase my furnace’s efficacy was to have radiant heated floors installed in my home. Of course radiant heated floors keep the hardwood warm, even though I didn’t realize the other benefits it would have for my home. When the plan is running to keep the floors warm, the ambient temperature in my apartment is remaining more constant. This is helpful because swings of the air temperature in my apartment mean that my furnace has to work harder to maintain a comfortable temperature in the winter. Another benefit to radiant heated floors is that they make sure that the components of my apartment are remaining at a consistent temperature. When wood & vinyl are exposed to varying un-even temperatures, they are likely to warp, causing injure to my apartment & potentially causing even more complications. The upgrade of my radiant heated floors was quick & professional, & there were minimal changes to the way my apartment looked. What I did notice, however, was the significant decrease in my heating bill each month, & my Heating & Air Conditioning company told me that my furnace was under much less stress, extending it’s life & making sure my family & I stay moderate year after year.
